Psalm 23:1 says, “The LORD is my shepherd, I shall not want.” In the craziness of what is going on in our world, our primary focus for DNOW weekend is on Jesus’ role as our Shepherd. He is faithful when everything seems to fall apart, and He is constant in the midst of chaos. This weekend is designed for students in grades 6th-12th to spend time with other believers in our church in Bible study and worship. Pastor Josh Reavis from North Jacksonville Baptist Church will be our speaker, and Johnny Fernandez will be leading worship. The cost for the weekend is $50 per student if you sign up before March 1. After March 1 the cost is $60 per student.
We are taking additional precautions this year due to COVID. Here are a few of the key decisions we have made thus far, but we will send regular updates as DNOW approaches. We will not have Host Homes for the students to stay at throughout the weekend. (We are also asking that students do not create their own overnight situations.) Students and volunteers will be required to wear masks throughout the weekend. Each night we will have a dismissal process for you to pick-up your student. Students that are able to drive will need to have a written permission form filled out from their parent or guardian to be able to drive home each night. (Students will not be allowed to leave campus unless they have a written permission form filled out by their parent or guardian.)
Even though things are different this year, we believe that this gives us a great opportunity to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with students, a message that will change their lives and their eternity. Join us in prayer for this great weekend.
Register here today if you want your student to be involved or if you would like to volunteer at DNOW weekend.
